She has previously been a chair on the Family Relations Committee last year. Lauren’s role is to work alongside her co-director Kate to organize various entertainment and activities used during the main event, registering all Jagathon-related events throughout the year, making room reservations, safety plans, etc. In addition, this committee will create and execute the timeline for Jagathon 2023 and coordinate with many other committees throughout the year.

Next up, the Co-Director of Event Programming, Kate Wagner! Kate is a sophomore and her Jagathon journey started her freshman year. Last year she was a Family Relations Committee member, and this past semester she was the PIC Chair for Event Programming. Kate’s role is to work alongside her co-director Lauren to organize various entertainment and activities used during the main event, registering all Jagathon-related events throughout the year, making room reservations, safety plans, etc. In addition, this committee will create and execute the timeline for Jagathon 2023 and coordinate with many other committees throughout the year.

  • Favorite Jagathon Memory: One of my favorite Jagathon memories is from Jagathon 2022 when a group of us helped spray paint the number reveal signs in the freezing cold. We had to keep switching out who was holding the templates and who got to hold their hands over the heater. It was very chaotic but also helped lighten the mood about some of the stress we were all experiencing from putting on main event.
  • Why does Kate Dance?: Kate dances because her family has been personally impacted by the funds CMN provides. She has also recently started volunteering with the Child Life team at Riley and has seen firsthand how important services like that are to the kids and families in the hospital. Child Life and other beneficial programs would not be possible without the money we raise.
